Whole-Video Scoring, Not Spot Checks
Every moment in the source gets scored — not just the first twenty minutes. A buried aside at the 2:41:00 mark competes on equal footing with the opening hook.
What Gets Said and What Gets Heard
Scoring weighs both the words and the room: a sharp claim reads well on paper, but a laugh break, a crowd reaction, or a sudden drop in volume tells you where people actually leaned in.
Ranked Output With a Visible Breakdown
Clips come back ordered strongest first, each with a 5-criterion score breakdown you can read. If you disagree with the ranking, you can see exactly which criterion pulled it up or down.
Adapts to the Kind of Content It Is
A high-scoring moment in a gaming VOD looks nothing like one in a tech review. Scoring shifts with the material rather than applying one gaming-shaped template to a lecture.
How It Works
Paste any YouTube video URL
Drop the link in. AutoClip pulls the video and builds a word-level transcript so cuts can land on word boundaries instead of mid-syllable.
Every moment gets scored
The full video is scored end to end. A typical video takes about 10–15 minutes; a four-hour stream takes proportionally longer.
Review ranked clips and post the ones you want
Top moments come back reframed to 9:16 with captions burned in, ordered by score. Post the top one, post all of them, or edit first in the timeline editor.
Frequently Asked Questions
What actually goes into the score?
Two broad kinds of signal. What's said — strong opinions, surprising claims, setups that pay off, question-then-answer structures. And what's heard — energy shifts, reactions, laughter, changes in delivery. Each clip ships with a 5-criterion breakdown so the score isn't a black-box number you have to take on faith.
What content types does it work on?
Gaming, podcasts, interviews, sports commentary, cooking, tech reviews, education, news commentary, vlogs. Talk-driven material with real reactions in it gives the scorer the most to work with. Ambient or heavily scripted b-roll gives it the least.
How accurate is it?
It's good at finding the moments with the characteristics that correlate with strong performance. It cannot tell you a clip will go viral — that also depends on your account, your audience, when you post, your caption, and luck. Treat it as a shortlist generator, not a prophecy. The people who do well post consistently and give themselves more chances.
Is moment scoring included on every plan?
Yes. Free trial clips, Starter at $19.99/mo, Pro at $39.99/mo, and Scale at $79.99/mo all run the same scoring on every video. Higher plans raise the volume caps — 200, 500, and 1200 credits a month, where 1 credit is 1 minute of source video — not the quality of the analysis.
Does it work on very long videos?
Yes, within your plan's source-length limit: 2 hours on Starter, 5 on Pro, 10 on Scale. A 3-hour podcast is scored the same way a 20-minute video is — it just produces more candidates and takes proportionally longer than the usual 10–15 minutes.
How is this different from a virality score on a finished clip?
Timing. Many tools cut clips first, then attach a number to each finished clip. AutoClip scores at the moment level before the cuts are chosen, so the score influences which moments become clips at all. Whether that matters to you depends on whether you trust the clip boundaries you'd get otherwise — if you already know exactly which segment you want, a manual trim is faster than any scoring.
