Features

The crop follows the speaker

When the shot moves or the conversation switches sides of the table, the vertical frame goes with it instead of leaving someone half out of frame.

Split layouts for gaming

Facecam on top, gameplay below — both readable in 9:16, which a single crop cannot do when the action and the player are at opposite corners of a 16:9 frame.

Motion that isn't distracting

The frame eases between subjects rather than snapping. Jumpy reframing reads as broken on a phone, so the movement is deliberately slower than the cut.

More than one aspect ratio

9:16 on every plan. Pro and Scale add 1:1, 16:9, and 4:5 from the same source, and Scale exports 4K plus multi-region layouts.

How It Works

1

Paste a horizontal video

Any public 16:9 source — YouTube uploads, Twitch and Kick VODs, recorded calls.

2

The reframe path is planned across the clip

Subject position is tracked through the whole segment so the movement is planned end to end rather than corrected frame by frame.

3

You get vertical clips that keep the subject

Output is 9:16 with faces and on-screen action in frame, plus the other ratios if your plan includes them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does automatic reframing work?

The subject is located through the clip and the vertical window is moved to keep them in it, easing between positions rather than cutting. The practical effect is that a two-person interview stays watchable in vertical instead of showing you an empty chair for half the answer.

Does reframing cut off important content?

Sometimes, and it is worth being straight about it. Going from 16:9 to 9:16 throws away most of the width — if a slide sits at the far right while the speaker is on the left, something has to lose. Faces and on-screen action are prioritized, and for gaming the split layout avoids the choice entirely. For a screen-share-heavy source, 4:5 on Pro or Scale often keeps more than 9:16 does.

What input formats does the reframer support?

Any public YouTube, Twitch, or Kick source at any resolution. Sources up to 2 hours on Starter, 5 hours on Pro, and 10 hours on Scale.

What's the difference between cropping and reframing?

A static crop takes a fixed slice of the frame for the whole clip, so anything that happens outside that slice is gone. Reframing moves the window over time to follow the subject. On a locked-off single-speaker shot the two produce nearly the same result; on anything with movement or two people, the difference is obvious.

Does the video reframer work for two-person interviews?

Yes, and it is the case it handles best. The frame moves to whoever is speaking, so an exchange reads as a conversation rather than a static shot of one person listening. Cuts also land on speaker changes rather than mid-answer.

What resolution does the reframer output?

Up to 1080×1920 vertical on Starter and Pro; Scale exports 4K. Watermark-free output starts on Starter — you do not need the top plan to get a clean file.
